Passport to Dry Creek Valley® is one of California’s first and longest-running premiere wine and food events. Tickets for this year’s event, scheduled for the weekend of April 28 and 29, just went on sale. Now in its 23rd year, Passport offers guests a chance to sample the celebrated wines of Dry Creek Valley at 50 of the Valley’s top wineries while feasting on gourmet food pairings and enjoying lively entertainment.

Over the weekend, Passport holders are invited to take exclusive vineyard tours, sample rare vintages and delight in discovering each winery’s unique Passport “theme," a tradition of the event. Viva Las Vegas, the Italian Riviera, the Summer Olympics- the possibilities are as varied as the wineries themselves and promise a fun, unforgettable experience for returning guests and novices alike.

Travel & Accommodations

Dry Creek Valley is located 70 miles north of San Francisco in the heart of Sonoma County. Direct flights into Santa Rosa, Sonoma are available on Alaska Airlines from Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland and Las Vegas. Visitors on these flights can fly a case of wine home for free.

Passport to Dry Creek Valley® was introduced in 1990 by the Winegrowers of Dry Creek Valley® as a time each year when the community would come together to celebrate the generations of grapegrowers, vintners and families that are the heart of the Dry Creek Valley wine region. While Passport is a modern tradition, as is Dry Creek Valley’s reputation for world-class wine, the roots of the region reach back over a century.

From the establishment of its first winery in 1870, early recognition of the region’s Zinfandel in the 1890’s, the preservation of vineyards through Prohibition, and a revival of wine making in the 1970’s to 9,000 acres of vineyards and over 60 wineries today, Dry Creek Valley has a history as rich as the soil from which its world-class wines are born. The wineries are almost 100% family owned, with some boasting as many as five generations of winemakers who’ve passed down the tradition of excellence through the century.
