Trinity Hill

Our final wine brings us to New Zealand. With their relatively young wine industry, it’s surprising that New Zealand is already producing some world class Syrah. When you think that their closest neighbor is Australia and their climate most closely resembles that of France, it certainly becomes less surprising.

Trinity Hill is producing some world class Syrahs with the addition of Viognier standard, lending the wines an unusual exotic trait that sets them apart from the more mainstream Syrah. I found the wine to exhibit classic iron fist in a velvet glove characteristics with their supple fruit and firm structure. Complex and layered, they offer a seamless blend of the finest attributes of the Old and New World styles.

Rachel Weisz brings that same sort of blend to mind, don’t ya think?
