Trapiche Broquel Bonarda
With deep notes of plum, moist earth and tobacco on the nose, backed up by noticeable vanilla notes, this smells like it's going to deliver a pretty powerful layer of dark fruit. On the palate there is plenty of slightly confected black cherry and plum fruits, again with a note of vanilla and oaken spice, but this is smooth and silky with a nice touch of leather on the finish. Solid and fun.
Trapiche Oak Cask Chardonnay

Fairly spicy on the nose with an underlay of baking spices and rich apple, and pineapple fruit. On entry this is a bit tight almost but fleshes out well in the mouth. It’s not a big wine but rather well balanced with refreshing acids keeping things lively and a nice core of fresh fruit accented by a bit of wood spice. The moderately long finish shows more of a citrus character and ends on a slightly creamy finale.
