Limestone Coast Cabernet Sauvignon Lost Block 2013

Member Review by chriscage:

Pours cranberry juice colors with tawny tinges around the edging and shows some murky suspension.....definitely a few years young. Aromas of fruity ripe berry, such as strawberry, blueberry, and blackberry/cranberry. Cinnamon spice is noticed in the background and oak laden alcohol is detected as well on the nostrils. Flavors follow suit, with added juicy tart apple juice (Granny Smith), Bing Cherry and a hint of oaked almond nuttiness on the finish. The mouthfeel is still showing signs of further possibilities for aging, but is a smooth tartness and medium body. Pairs well with pork tenderloin in a mushroom garlic sauce, yet stands out well on its own. A shame this will not be available in the very near future, as it is quite drinkable. Glad the 'lost' was found!

Today, Tyrrell’s are a truly national wine company, premium vineyards extend from their legendary home in the Hunter Valley to other distinguished grape growing regions of Australia including McLaren Vale in South Australia and Heathcote in Victoria.
