Mischief and Mayhem Puligny Montrachet Premier Cru les Pucelles 2010
Winemaker's Notes:
COLOR Pale gold in color, tinged with green. AROMA Lovely intense, powerful, rich nose of green apple, pear and gooseberry with lemon, acacia honey, spice, caramel and flint notes. TASTE Full and rich, with beautifully defined acidic structure and steely minerality that runs through the core. There are plenty of ripe fruit elements with notes of lemon, apricot, pear and greengage along with hints of ginger, smoke, hazelnut and shortbread.

Mischief and Mayhem is the creation of Michael Ragg and Michael Twelftree, two great friends whose passion for wine, and for Burgundy in particular, inspired them to team up and create the company in autumn 2004.
Michael Ragg spent nearly ten years working with leading UK fine wine merchant Berry Bros. & Rudd before moving to Burgundy in spring 2003 and setting up his own wine consultancy and broking business in Aloxe-Corton. He's Mischief.
Michael Twelftree is co-founder and driving force behind top Australian winery Two Hands Wines in the Barossa Valley. He's Mayhem.
Living in Aloxe-Corton for over seven years has given Ragg the opportunity to develop a lot of contacts on the ground in Burgundy and this is key to the business. Mischief and Mayhem sources grapes from all over the Côte d'Or and Ragg's knowledge of the region's vineyards, along with Twelftree's knowledge of the world's emerging markets, combine together in a goal to produce outstanding wine, in a helpful way, that uncovers and de-mystifies this wonderful, yet often frustratingly complex region.
We settled here in Aloxe-Corton over 7 years ago and with the development of Mischief and Mayhem we felt that it was important to create a tasting room so as to enable visitors to taste and enjoy our wines. Throughout the summer and autumn of 2006 therefore we were hard at work on the renovation and development of our Mischief and Mayhem Cellar Door. Read less
